Montaza Mediterranean Food

Montaza Mediterranean Food opened in mid-August 2020 just as Windsor was getting back to business after an extended COVID-19 shutdown.  Located at the former location of iconic Malic’s Deli, it was the former Malic’s owner that put the new owner in touch with me.

This was a challenging project, as the owner had no printed menu, no domain name, no photos – and a target opening date that was only four days from the date we first met!

I was able to register a new domain name, provide hosting, create a website and an online menu in the span of four days.

Shin Shin Chinese Restaurant

Shin Shin Chinese Restaurant has been using online ordering for quite some time.  Recently, they heard about the online ordering option supplied by JEM Software and after seeing a demo, decided to make the switch.  The new system provides direct access to the order by the restaurant, rather than merely having orders sent to them via email.  Shin Shin’s previous website and domain were controlled by the external menu provider, so they decided to purchase a domain name of their own and create a new website in addition to having online ordering.

South Windsor Barber Shop – 2020

South Windsor Barber Shop was hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic.  Forced to close for several months, they were finally allowed to open in late June 2020.  I have been a client of this establishment for nearly 60 years, so to commemorate their re-opening, I decided to completely refresh the website.  The new version contains a health advisory message, but that will be removed once the restrictions have been lifted.

Genki Sushi

Genki Sushi, like so many other restaurants being taken advantage of by delivery companies, needed a way to increase revenue without sacrificing profit.  They were referred to me by another of my clients and JEM Software was able to freshen their website and provide a less-costly platform for online ordering.

Stay Safe Ontario

Stay Safe Ontario is a labour of love for Lou DeBellis, co-owner of AngelStar Digital.  Inspired by a similar project in the U.S., Lou wanted a way to help businesses in Ontario kickstart their businesses by publicly committing to ensuring their businesses were providing the best possible safety to their employees and customers.

This website was created to get the message out, provide no-cost signage that could be displayed by businesses; and to thank them for their cooperation, offering them an opportunity to get their message out in the form of a searchable Business Directory posted on the website.

Time was of the essence in delivering the message, and Lou engaged JEM Software to create an end-to-end solution in record time.

Pho Mango Thai-Vietnamese Cuisine

In the midst of the COVID-19 Pandemic, long-time Windsor restaurant Pho Mango realized that a transition away from their successful dine-in model would be required to sustain their business.  Plans were made to create an elaborate and comprehensive web and online ordering presence.

Phase I of this process involved the creation of a basic, functional website featuring their menu.  Phase II, launched in early April 2020, provides them with online ordering capability and contactless pickup and delivery options.

In the future, Phase III will complete the transition with the addition of an exciting customized online experience.

Picasso Pizza & Pasta

Picasso Pizza & Pasta is located on Pillette Road at Seminole, and it’s really worth a visit.  They specialize in amazing pasta and pizza creations.  The owner had only recently opened and had just completed a printed menu when I happened to visit his restaurant.  After viewing a demo of my online ordering app, he signed up for the app and a website/hosting package.

Blue Sky Garden Restaurant – 2019

The original Blue Sky Garden landing page was created by Michael Trussler, a friend of mine and a friend of the restaurant owner.  A year after Michael’s death, and with the prospect that the site could no longer be supported in its current form, I was asked to refresh the site.  This is the result of that effort.  It incorporates artwork and Chinese lettering from the original site as an homage to Michael.  At the beginning of 2020, hosting was moved from the previous service to my own.

Karraman Restaurant

The Karraman Restaurant opened in November 2019 after the owner of the Le Ballon retired.  When I met him, the new owner was just getting started.  There was no printed menu and no set hours.  In order to help the new owner get some traction, I set up his Google profile and provided a very simple landing page.  At some point, I am hoping the new owner is able to expand on the landing page and upgrade to online ordering.  For now, however, I’m helping nurture this start-up business.
