When Taystee Grill opened a second location, JEM Software was asked to supply the online ordering component as well as the website.
COVID-19 has had a devastating effect on many restaurants locally. Thankfully, one of the casualties of the pandemic has been reborn in the form of Oishii Sushi, the newest all-you-can-eat Sushi restaurant in Windsor. The very day the restaurant was scheduled to open, the provincial government instituted a stay-at-home order, so Oishii Sushi immediately pivoted to an online-only pickup and delivery model.
In addition to the website, we created the online ordering menu as well.
Taystee Grill is a Mediterranean restaurant featuring burgers, traditional Lebanese foods and excellent salads. The website was designed by an outside agency, but based on a word-of-mouth referral, JEM Software was tapped to provide the online ordering component.
The Amherstburg Cannabis Company is a licensed dispensary in the town of Amherstburg. The owner engaged the services of JEM Software after experiencing unacceptably long delays in responses from the previous agency. We repaired some improperly functioning elements of the existing site, and are now engaged in an interative process of upgrading the site’s capabilities.
Junkees is a new restaurant located on Erie Street. It features a beautiful ambiance, outdoor patio and eclectic menu. JEM Software was hired by the website’s designer to integrate our online-ordering app into the website. The project scope was expanded when the restaurant owner decided to make changes to the menu and pricing, and I was asked not only to provide the online ordering app, but also update the menu page on the website itself (as a sub-contractor).
This is not the first time JEM Software has performed work as a subcontractor for another firm, but it is the first time we’ve been able to claim some credit for the finished product.
Montaza Mediterranean Food opened in mid-August 2020 just as Windsor was getting back to business after an extended COVID-19 shutdown. Located at the former location of iconic Malic’s Deli, it was the former Malic’s owner that put the new owner in touch with me.
This was a challenging project, as the owner had no printed menu, no domain name, no photos – and a target opening date that was only four days from the date we first met!
I was able to register a new domain name, provide hosting, create a website and an online menu in the span of four days.
Shin Shin Chinese Restaurant has been using online ordering for quite some time. Recently, they heard about the online ordering option supplied by JEM Software and after seeing a demo, decided to make the switch. The new system provides direct access to the order by the restaurant, rather than merely having orders sent to them via email. Shin Shin’s previous website and domain were controlled by the external menu provider, so they decided to purchase a domain name of their own and create a new website in addition to having online ordering.
Genki Sushi, like so many other restaurants being taken advantage of by delivery companies, needed a way to increase revenue without sacrificing profit. They were referred to me by another of my clients and JEM Software was able to freshen their website and provide a less-costly platform for online ordering.
The owner of MJ’s Pizza & Wings is a friend of another of my clients and that’s how we met. He is known for his excellent late night pizza and wings. When it was time for him to update his website and lessen his dependence on pricy delivery companies, he turned to JEM Software to provide a solution.
In the midst of the COVID-19 Pandemic, long-time Windsor restaurant Pho Mango realized that a transition away from their successful dine-in model would be required to sustain their business. Plans were made to create an elaborate and comprehensive web and online ordering presence.
Phase I of this process involved the creation of a basic, functional website featuring their menu. Phase II, launched in early April 2020, provides them with online ordering capability and contactless pickup and delivery options.
In the future, Phase III will complete the transition with the addition of an exciting customized online experience.
